It better be better than this ...

I have been OH so fortunate to have fantastic students my three years at South Jordan Middle. Each year it has gotten better and better ... my first year was hard, my second ... better, and last year was a dream! As the school year approaches I start to wonder what my new little rug rats will be like. Unfortunately though my dreams are haunted with anticipation. I have probably had close to six or seven dreams that my students are awful -- on the first day of school. I had one dream that I couldn't make it past third period without crying because I couldn't calm them down. I couldn't even get through my disclosure and set of rules and procedures without them running wild. I am getting nervous about how I will go about training these kids. I have been trying to think about all of the things that I have done in the past ... and honestly I am left speechless. Hopefully it will just be second nature and they will all be wonderful! Wish me luck :)

I certainly hope your dreams are NOT an omen for this coming year. It's amazing our our minds work while we're sleeping. I bet you are an awesome teacher! Good luck for this coming school year! I'll be thinking of you while I'm on vacation this week :0)

You'll do just great! You are an excellent teacher and the kids love you. You are a natural. You may have a tough class or two, but they make you appreciate the good classes even more!

I hear you sis, it makes a person a little freaked to think about what is walking in the door this year...but after 5 years of starting with a fresh batch of little monkeys, I can tell you that it does come naturally. So relax, I'm creeped out too, but we'll just have to remember that we will love them, and we will keep them under control too!

GREAT LUCK! You're a cool teacher, which means your kids will most likely be cool back (well, unless you get one like Jake.) Some kids just can't be helped unless by their favorite grade school teacher. Boy, that sure does put the pressure on, huh? Lol. No, you'll be fabulous. You're Jen Boucher.
